Coming from somebody who was there longer than 95% of the participants, allow me to state my own little peace.

Center Camp sucks. As one guy put it, it is like a low-grade karaoke bar with no owner to control who goes on stage. I went near it exactly once in my 11 days of Burning this year.

I also heard snippets about New Orleans and its disaster, but had no idea anybody was collecting for it. Nor would I have had any money to donate at the time. I rarely bring cash out to the playa.

I also detest donating to Red Cross for disaster relief after the 9/11 incident where the money seemed to disappear.

Shoshana, however, donated $20 while we were exiting.
